What leather do you use?

Most Hidepacks bags are made from full-grain leather, the top layer of the hide, sourced from cow, goat, and buffalo. We also offer a vegan range for anyone who prefers an animal free option.

Why is full-grain leather a good choice?

Full-grain is the highest grade of leather because it keeps the entire natural grain, which makes it strong, durable, and long lasting. It is not sanded down, so each bag keeps the natural markings that make it unique.

Will the leather change over time?

Yes. Full-grain leather develops a patina with use, gradually deepening in color and gaining character. This is normal and is one of the reasons people choose genuine leather over synthetic materials.

What hardware and stitching do you use?

Our bags use sturdy metal hardware such as brass-toned zippers and fittings, and several styles use YKK zippers. Straps and handles are reinforced with strong stitching at the stress points.

Will your backpacks fit a laptop?

How do I care for my leather bag?

Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, and keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight and moisture. Apply a leather conditioner every few months to keep the leather supple.

What if my leather bag gets wet?

Blot it gently with a dry cloth and let it air dry away from direct heat. Avoid hairdryers and radiators, since high heat can crack leather. Once dry, a little conditioner restores softness.

How should I store it?

Keep it in a cool, dry place, ideally with light padding inside to hold its shape, and use a dust bag if one was provided. Avoid plastic covers, since leather needs to breathe.

How do I keep it from creasing?

Avoid loading it beyond its intended capacity, store it upright with light padding, and condition it regularly so the leather stays flexible.

Do you offer vegan bags?

Yes. Our vegan leather backpacks are made from high quality synthetic materials that mimic the look of real leather, for customers who want an animal free option.

Is vegan leather durable?

Vegan leather is durable and easy to maintain, though it ages differently from full-grain leather and does not develop a patina. It is a good choice if you want a cruelty free bag with a leather look.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you need to change or cancel an order, email us at support@hidepacks.com as soon as possible and we will help if it has not yet shipped. Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be changed or cancelled.

How will I track my order?

Once your order ships, we email you a confirmation with tracking details so you can follow its progress.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We ship worldwide, with options and any costs shown at checkout based on your destination.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. We offer free shipping on orders over 400 USD. Orders below that are charged a rate calculated at checkout.

How long will delivery take?

Orders within the United States are typically delivered within 8 to 10 working days. International orders are typically delivered within 12 to 14 days. Delivery can take longer during busy periods or due to customs.

Will I pay customs or duties?

For international orders, any customs fees or import duties are set by your country and are the responsibility of the recipient. They are not included in our prices or shipping charges.

What is your return policy?

We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery. To qualify, the item must be unused and in its original condition, with all tags and packaging intact, and you must include proof of purchase. Items that show signs of use, wear, scratches, odor, or any damage that happened after delivery are not eligible. Every return is inspected before a refund is approved. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, and the original shipping fee is not refundable.

How do I start a return or exchange?

Who pays for return shipping?

If your return is approved, we cover the cost of return shipping, so sending the item back is free for you. Please note that the original shipping fee from your first order is not refundable.

When will I receive my refund?

Once we receive and inspect the returned item and confirm it meets the return conditions, we process the refund to your original payment method. The time for it to appear depends on your bank or card provider.

Do your bags come with a warranty?

Yes. Your Hidepacks bag is covered by a 1 year limited warranty against genuine manufacturing defects, such as faulty stitching or hardware failure under normal use. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratches, color change or patina, water or heat damage, misuse, accidents, improper care, or damage from repairs or alterations not carried out by us. To make a claim, email us at support@hidepacks.com with your proof of purchase and clear photos of the issue, and if it is approved we will repair or replace the item at our discretion. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

What if my order arrives damaged or faulty?

If your item arrives damaged or has a manufacturing fault, email us at support@hidepacks.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos, and we will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
